Cort has been helping families, small businesses and professionals set and work towards their financial goals and objectives since 1993. He specializes in retirement planning, investment management, college funding strategies and life, disability and long term care insurance. A patient listener and caring professional, Cort fosters trust and loyalty and prides himself on building multi-generational relationships.
Joining Heritage Wealth Partners in 2014, Cort was previously a financial advisor and Managing Director with Principal Financial and New England Financial. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Centre College of Kentucky and industry designations including Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and Chartered Leadership Fellow® (CLF®). He is Life and Health Licensed and holds the FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 securities registrations held through Private Client Services and provides RIA services through Heritage Wealth Partners and TD Ameritrade. Cort works with clients all over the country.
Cort is a strong advocate for his clients and provides industry leadership serving on the executive board of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAFIA-Ohio). He received the NAIFA-Columbus Outstanding Service Award in 2014 and was recognized by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio and Ohio Senate for Tremendous Attainment for receiving The Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in 2017. Cort has moderated the Leadership in Life Institute and previously taught the American College’s LUTCF program.
He also serves his community through the Worthington AM Rotary and attends 514 Church in New Albany. While attending Centre College he was a member and President of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and on the tennis team. Cort lives in Worthington Hills with his wife, Karen. They have 2 sons: Tim, an aspiring actor in LA and Rob, an engineering student at Ohio State. In his free time, Cort enjoys tennis, traveling with his family and their 2 dogs: Buddy and Penny.
